IT Academy for filmmakers

Responding to the needs of specialists, we launch the edition of the IT Academy for specialists in the film industry.
In the first stage of the study, the basics of the Python programming language will be discussed.
Then knowledge will be expanded with particular attention to aspects specific to the film industry. Lua's language will also be discussed.
Students will be acquainted with professional film equipment, and will also have the opportunity to participate in classes on conducting projects using agile methodologies, information security or image compression.

The Academy students will visit at least one real movie set.

Currently, the recruitment for the Academy is in progress. The nearest edition will start in October 2019.

The course:
The two-year course is divided into 4 semesters, each for 48 teaching hours. In the fourth semester students will complete a final project under the supervision of lecturers.
In each of the semesters, there are planned 4 two-day conventions (6 hours each), held on weekends. A detailed schedule will be available before the start of the Academy.
Workshops are conducted on professional film equipment.
All classes take place at the Institute of Science and Technology Stipendium, ul. Pabianicka 159/161, Łódź.
Director:
Jakub Wawrzyniak – president of the management board of The Institute of Science and Technology Stipendium; experienced in managing several IT projects (for a total amount of over PLN 100 million) based on the PRINCE2 and agile methodologies (AgilePM); participated in R&D teams; participant, lecturer and host of national and international conferences. Education: University of Lodz and Warsaw University of Technology
